What will happen on the days?
The workshop will begin with an introduction to the tools, materials, and techniques essential for Pavé Setting. Your tutor, Brian Fagen, will deliver a step-by-step demonstration of the Pavé Setting process, sharing valuable insights and expert tips gained over his decades-long career in the jewellery trade.
Following the demonstration, you will get stuck into the hands on practice of the technique, using copper squares and cubic zirconias, an affordable and practical way to refine your skills. There will be Individual guidance and feedback from Brian to help you perfect your technique for achieving clean, even settings that hold stones securely.
Throughout the session, you will have the opportunity to troubleshoot and issues and address common challenges in real-world scenarios. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have gained confidence, proficiency, and a solid foundation in Pavé Setting, all within a supportive and interactive learning environment.

For those who already have some prior knowledge on the subject or have relevant skills.
What should I bring?
Reading glasses (if you need them!)
Notebook & Pen/Pencil
What should I wear?
Clothes: Casual and not too precious as they may get a bit dusty or damaged. Avoid long, loose fitting sleeves and anything that might catch or get caught whilst you are working.
Shoes: Casual flat shoes and no open toed sandals.
Hair: Tie long hair back.
