Spend a special evening creating a beautiful piece of jewellery, right in the heart of Hatton Garden, London's historic jewellery quarter! This special workshop offers you the chance to create your own beautiful textured silver ring while learning traditional techniques used by skilled jewellers for generations.
Price is per person, includes all materials and champagne.
What will I make?
You will make a silver textured ring using a variety of traditional jewellery making techniques.
What will happen on the day?
At FORGE, you'll be creating a unique silver ring, surrounded by stunning jewellery created by independent makers. Let their creativity inspire you as you embark on your jewellery-making journey.
Our expert instructor will guide you through the process, teaching you a range of traditional jewellery techniques including sawing, filing, forming, texturing, soldering and polishing. There will be a variety of different tools you can use to create your own unique, one of a kind pattern.
This workshop is an excellent introduction to jewellery making, covering a variety of traditional techniques to kickstart your creative journey. With step-by-step demonstrations and personalised guidance from the tutor, you’ll be supported throughout the process.
For an additional £30 per ring, you can choose to have your rings plated in yellow or rose gold for added richness or contrast. Please note that this is done by professional platers, so your rings will need to be collected or posted to you a few weeks later.
What skills do I need?
Difficulty Level: EASY
No previous experience needed.
What should I bring?
Reading glasses (if you need them!)
- Notebook and pen
- Apron
- Additional £30 for gold plating
What should I wear?
Clothes: Casual and not too precious as they may get a bit dusty or damaged. Avoid long, loose fitting sleeves and anything that might catch or get caught whilst you are working.
Shoes: Casual flat shoes and no open toed sandals in case you drop a hammer or something hot onto them.
Hair: Tie long hair back.
