Neil McLaren Jewellery
Neil McLaren creates one-off pieces of jewellery that are bold and robust, defined by shape, texture and simplicity. His distinctive work combines clean lines, colourful stones, angles and three-dimensional forms that contrast with the soft curves of the human body. Neil began jewellery-making classes at Morley College with the late Barbara Christie, developing his practice alongside a long career as an orchestral flautist. His travels as a musician have given him opportunities to visit jewellery galleries and museums around the world, providing endless inspiration for his work. Neil regularly exhibits at Glyndebourne Festival Opera, where he creates pieces inspired by the themes of each season’s operas.
