Morningstar Smithing
Neve Taylor-Bridges is the contemporary artist blacksmith behind Morningstar Smithing. Based in Scotland, she creates fine sculptural pieces that explore ornate abstract curvature and implied motion through precision forging, using leading lines and variations in line weight to create a dynamic sense of movement.
Her work has been exhibited widely, including at the Royal Scottish Academy through Visual Arts Scotland in The Thread That Pulls, Hereford Cathedral's Reinterpret, Cats Creep Open House in Brighton, the 150mm Challenge in Stroud, and Revealing Process as part of the Ferrous Festival in Hereford.
She also presented her six-foot garden sculpture, Arachne, developed with mentor and blacksmith Adam Greenwell, at the Inspired exhibition in Stroud's Walled Garden as part of the Earth Fire Iron display. The project led to a joint forging demonstration at the British Artist Blacksmiths Association's public AGM.
