Monoco Joyas
Mónica Pérez, the artist behind Monoco Joyas, trained as a designer in Chile and specialised in metalwork in England, where she began exploring art jewellery. Since 1998, she has exhibited across Chile, Europe, the USA and South America. Her creative language is defined by change, movement and surprise, incorporating mechanisms that allow her pieces to move naturally with their forms. Colour and contrast are equally fundamental, creating playful, unexpected combinations inspired by the kaleidoscope, where diverse fragments harmonise within a beautiful chaos. In her Infragility series, Mónica pushes materials to their limits, exploring the balance between construction and destruction, and the idea that permanence and control are illusions, while fragility remains a tangible reality.
