Mingyang Sun
Mingyang Sun is a jewellery designer exploring how a single structural idea can evolve into a lasting design language. Rather than continually pursuing new concepts, she develops one idea through experimentation, making and material exploration. Her current work centres on the coil as a fundamental structural element, drawing inspiration from architecture, spatial systems and Optical Art. By varying density, spacing and form, she creates rhythm, movement and shifting spatial relationships on the body, transforming an industrial structure into contemporary jewellery. Mingyang sees each collection as part of an ongoing evolution, continually refining and expanding her visual language through new materials and scales.
