Rebecca de Quin Rebecca is a London based silversmith and fine metal artist with 30 years of studio practice experience. She has exhibited widely in the UK and abroad and is represented in many collections including The V&A museum and The Crafts Council.
A founder member of Contemporary British Silversmiths and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Rebecca trained at Middlesex Polytechnic and the Royal College of Art, where she currently teaches on the Jewellery and Metal MA programme.
Inspired by practical modernist precedents, Rebecca designs and makes contemporary containers and tableware to encourage use and enjoyment of precious and non-precious metal. Using the traditional skills of metalworking, she explores the vessel as an evolving form, to question perceptions of silver objects in the home. Her unique, handmade pieces attempt to blur the boundaries between art, craft and design in order to exist as engaging and covetable, complimentary additions to 21st century living.
