What will I make?

You will make a sterling silver chain bracelet using the link-in-link technique. There will be opportunities to experiment with different shapes and design elements, allowing you to create a bracelet that is unique to you.

What will happen on the day?

The session begins with a short introduction and a look at different examples of link-in-link chain bracelets for design inspiration. Your tutor will then guide you through the making process step by step, with practical demonstrations and individual support throughout the day.

You’ll be introduced to a range of traditional techniques, including sawing, filing, soldering and polishing.

You will also explore different chain styles and gain a clear understanding of how a link-in-link chain is constructed. This workshop is particularly useful if you're looking to develop your soldering skills, with the tutor providing lots of tips and tricks on the way!

By the end of the session, you’ll have made your own sterling silver bracelet and gained a solid foundation in basic jewellery-making skills.
