What skills will I earn?
How to adjust output settings for different metals
Techniques for repairs, including joining, filling, and adding metal
Practical applications in jewellery manufacture
What will happen on the day?
You will be guided through the different output settings and how they apply to a range of metals and alloys, gaining an understanding of how the laser interacts with different materials. We will explore both the manufacturing and repair applications of laser welding, particularly where traditional soldering may not be suitable. Alongside this, you’ll learn how to add metal, build up worn areas, and fill gaps with precision, supported by a practical introduction to metallurgy for the jeweller.
At the end of the workshop you will have a good understanding of how to use the machine safely and effectively. You will learn on our Master 4.0 laser welder which is available to FORGE CLUB members to book and use.
