JEWELLERY BY WU
Cindy (Xinyi) Wu is a Chinese-born, London-based jewellery designer whose practice treats jewellery as wearable sculpture in dialogue with the body, emotion and narrative. A graduate of Central Saint Martins and the Royal College of Art, with an earlier background in visual arts in the US, she combines traditional craftsmanship with experimental making to challenge conventional ideas of adornment. Her work explores the relationship between material, form and bodily experience, creating pieces that are sculptural, tactile and conceptually driven. Wu's work has been exhibited internationally, including Munich Jewellery Week, London Design Festival, and the Museo Cerralbo in Madrid, and has been featured in publications including Dezeen, China Gems and Harper's Bazaar.
