Jessica Theobald
Jessica Theobald is a recent Design Crafts graduate from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, specialising in glass and metalwork. Working across lampworking, glassblowing and copper metalwork, she creates sculptural wearable pieces that explore the relationship between fragility and strength. Rooted in experimentation and a hands-on approach to making, her practice uses material processes to develop ideas, combining traditional craft techniques with contemporary approaches. Inspired by fashion, architecture, Brutalism and everyday observations, Jessica uses contrasting materials, bold forms and colour to shape narrative while encouraging engagement between the object, wearer and viewer. She was awarded an Association of Contemporary Jewellery College Prize for her graduate collection.
