This ring features a shank sandcast in 9ct SMO gold, using sand from Kennack Sands in Cornwall. The central stone is a AAA cut Australian parti sapphire, with beautiful deep colours, it is surrounded by another parti sapphire, a blue spinal and two Ocean Diamonds. There are two different sizes of diamond, the larger stone is a GH VS and the smaller a GH SI.

Designer intro

Iain is an artisan jeweller creating one-of-a-kind pieces with a focus on texture and form. A former cell biologist, he transitioned to jewellery in 2020 after two decades in pharmaceuticals, driven by a desire to create and work sustainably. Largely self-taught, he has completed Fine and Advanced Jewellery Diplomas with the Jewellers Academy and exhibited at Goldsmiths North and Made Brighton. His designs reimagine iconic forms from nature and architecture, using sandcasting to create texture and ethically sourced gemstones for colour. Iain works exclusively with recycled precious metals and SMO gold from his South Cambridgeshire studio.
