Finlay Grant Design
Finlay Grant is a Scottish designer-maker whose practice spans silversmithing, engraving, enamelling and resin work. Rooted in drawing, his work combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, employing clean lines, repeating patterns and bold colour contrasts to create a distinctive visual language. His use of negative space produces striking optical effects, adding movement and depth to his pieces. A First-Class Metal Design graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone, Finlay further developed his practice during a two-year residency at Bishopsland Educational Trust, where he learnt from leading silversmiths and jewellers, building a rigorous foundation in craftsmanship, precision and material sensitivity. His work has been recognised through multiple Goldsmiths' Craft & Design Council awards, including the Institute of Professional Goldsmiths Award.
