Ellen Monaghan

Using signature techniques of folding and forging square wire, Ellen Monaghan creates sculptural jewellery inspired by architecture and lines within the landscape. Continuous lengths of wire are formed into flowing structures, accented with colourful gemstones that play with the space around the body. Ellen studied Jewellery Design at Sir John Cass School of Art & Design, graduating in 2006. Since then, she has exhibited at Goldsmiths’ Fair, British Craft Trade Fair, MADE London and galleries nationwide. A member of the Crafts Council Directory, she received the National Association of Jewellers’ Award for Excellence in 2018. After working at Cockpit Studios in London, Ellen returned to North Norfolk in 2021 and is now the in-house goldsmith at Made in Cley.
