Carolyn Lucas Jewellery
Carolyn Lucas’s desire to make began early, with beachcombing and collecting pebbles and objects washed ashore. A jewellery-making summer school, using some of these finds as inspiration, opened up a new world of decorative metalworking. She continued making over the years before becoming a long-term member of jewellery classes at Morley College, where working alongside fellow jewellers and inspirational tutors has become an important part of her practice.
More recently, Carolyn’s preoccupation with colour has led her to explore enamelling and its endless possibilities, particularly through non-traditional approaches. She now finds it difficult to imagine a piece developing without a flash of colour somewhere.
