Carly Hitchens Jewellery
Cornish jeweller Carly Hitchens combines her knowledge of traditional metalwork with cutting-edge technology. After completing her MA in Jewellery, Carly embraced 3D printing to translate the molecular structures of crystals into bold, geometric pieces. Working with white nylon, she hand-dyes each piece, creating vibrant, contemporary designs that challenge perceptions of jewellery. Carly’s exploration of digital technology has opened new possibilities in form and colour, sparking discussions about innovation and tradition.
We admire Carly’s fearless approach to blending science and art, and how she pushes the boundaries of conventional jewellery making. Her minimalist yet dramatic pieces are perfectly aligned with Composition A, introducing a modern, abstract aesthetic that invites viewers to reconsider the materials and structures they know.
