Bridget Wheatley
Bridget Wheatley is a jeweller whose career spans over four decades of creative exploration. A graduate of Birmingham School of Jewellery in 1983, Bridget’s journey began with innovative collections that experimented with wood, plastics, and metal. Her early work gained international recognition, including being stocked by Liberty of London. In 1995, she opened her first shop, Uniikki, on Oxford’s Cowley Road, later evolving into Bridget Wheatley Contemporary Jewellery, known for its gem-set rings and bold, often intricate collections.
Working from her purpose-built studio in Oxfordshire, Bridget crafts bespoke and small-batch pieces inspired by the natural world, animals, and the mysteries of the universe. Her Sun & Moon and Animal & Bird collections showcase her love of storytelling through jewellery. A recent discovery of her family’s artistic heritage reaffirmed her passion for her craft. Bridget’s designs embody an instinctive, sculptural approach, blending timeless quality with striking wearability, earning her a loyal following among jewellery enthusiasts worldwide.
