Beverley Hutton Moore

Beverley Hutton Moore’s work reflects the beauty of the natural world surrounding her in Aberdeenshire. After graduating from Gray’s School of Art and training under the esteemed Malcolm Appleby, she honed traditional silversmithing techniques such as chasing, hand engraving, and repousse. Inspired by the patterns of birds, landscapes, and changing weather, Beverley’s designs balance fragility and strength. Her award-winning pieces, recognized by the Visual Arts and Crafts Makers Award, capture nature’s transience through hand-forged cups, spoons, and delicate forms. Teaching has also been a significant part of her journey, with Beverley running silversmithing classes from her own studio.

We admire Beverley’s dedication to traditional craftsmanship and her nuanced interpretation of nature’s cycles. Her work brings a delicate yet commanding presence to Composition A, showcasing the drama of natural forms through expertly crafted, abstract metalwork.
