Over 40 years of making jewellery, Richard has developed a brutalist style and a rebellious approach to his work. Using charcoal, lava stone and even salt and pepper, he explores the diverse possibilities that emerge when the materials dictate the outcome. For inspiration, Richard contrasts the concrete scenes of his teenage years with his love for Japanese art, music and fashion.
