Adorning the Body: Parallels Between Jewellery & Tattoos

This discussion looks at the parallels between jewellery design and tattoos as forms of body adornment, exploring commonalities in expression of identity, symbolism, craftsmanship, and the intimate relationship between wearer and adornment.

How both mediums serve as powerful means of self-expression, often conveying cultural, spiritual, or personal meanings through symbols and motifs.

Additionally, the discussion will highlight the craftsmanship and techniques involved in creating jewellery and tattoos, as well as the influence they exert on each other's aesthetics.

Maggie Kerr of Norma Kerr and Tabitha Charlton, in conversation with Emily Malice founder of Scorpio & Mars tattoo parlour, as they explore these intersections, and gain a deeper understanding of the creativity, personal significance, and cultural context inherent in both jewellery design and tattooing
