MAKE-DAY: Wedding Rings
If you're looking for something a little special for your wedding rings then why not make them yourself and create a wonderful story around them to tell friends and family for years to come?! This is a 1:1 workshop where you and your partner work with your instructor to create a pair of wedding rings unique to you!
Price is per couple plus materials. Please get in touch for an estimate of what this cost will be.
What will I make?
You will make two finished wedding rings in the metal, width and shape of your choice. These will be predetermined prior to your workshop, and your instructor will be in touch with you to discuss the options as well as confirm the cost of the materials.
Material:18ct Yellow, Rose White gold or Platinum.
Shape: 'D', Flat, Court or Flat Court.
Width: 2mm - 6mm.
What will happen on the day?
When you arrive your instructor will greet you and supply you with everything you need to create your rings.
You will measure your fingers to work out the metal length needed to make your rings, after which you will get forming, bending, soldering and polishing, until you have two very special wedding rings, boxed and ready for the big day! We will end with a little glass of Prosecco or, non-alcoholic beverage if preferred to toast your creative achievements and your future lives together!
What skills do I need?
Difficulty Level: MEDIUM
No previous experience needed, just a steady hand, a little patience and willingness to give it a go! Don't worry if you feel you're not artistic or creative, you will be taken through the whole process step by step.
What should I bring?
Reading glasses (if you need them!)
What should I wear?
Clothes: Casual and not too precious as they may get a bit dusty or damaged. Avoid long, loose fitting sleeves and anything that might catch or get caught whilst you are working.
